Author Patricia V. Davis has written a trilogy of books that take place on the current day Queen Mary. The stories revolve around a group of women who run a fictional restaurant on the ship called the Secret Spice Café.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Nov. 2, where the chefs and tour guides have collaborated with author of The Secret Spice Cafe, Patricia V. Davis to create a meal inspired by recipes in the books, a special tour of the ship where action in the stories takes place, and a special reading by the author in the ship’s art deco Observation Bar.

Guests will receive a paperback copy of the final installment of the trilogy, an exclusive sneak peek for attendees only with a portion of the ticket price going to the new Long Beach Main Library.

Special Guests

Joey Defore is known for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Hawaii Five-0 and Strange Angel. Mr. Defore will play "Emilio" and will sing "Some Enchanted Evening," by Richard Rogers

Leslie Shraifer is known for Dhoom 3, Chat and Ride Along. She holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has won 22 medals in tournaments. Ms. Shraifer will play "Cynthia," owner of The Secret Spice Cafe and a woman with a mysterious past.

Denise Tapscott is known for the series, "The Vamps Next Door," and holds a degree in TV/Radio Broadcasting. Ms. Tapscott plays "Rosemary," a Vodou priestess and a woman on a daring quest.

Heidi Surber Teichgraeber voice instructor at Butler College, has been a soloist, principal performer and Mistress of Ceremonies for Miss America preliminary pageants, and a past principal entertainer at the Miss Kansas pageant. Ms. Teichgraeber will sing the WWII ballad, "We'll Meet Again," by Vera Lynn.
