Memorial Day Weekend At The Queen Mary

May 25 - May 27

Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend with the Queen Mary! Salute to Service is a three-day event to honor and remember those who have served and pay homage to the Queen Mary’s duty as a troopship during WWII. Come aboard the ship for reenactments and demonstrations, appearances by beloved historical figures, and lectures.

Nicknamed the “Grey Ghost” after receiving a hauntingly stark paint job, the Queen Mary’s impressive speed and size made her an ideal troop hauler during WWII. Often carrying as many as 15,000 men in a single voyage, the ship set world records for speed and cargo during her tour of duty. Salute to Service is the perfect opportunity to explore the Queen Mary and learn the incredible true story of how her involvement played a pivotal role in guiding the Allied Forces to victory in WWII.

Free Admission For Current And Retired Military Personnel, Veterans, And First Responders!

The Queen Mary is proud to offer free admission to active service members of the armed forces, retired military personnel, veterans, and first responders. Guests of the same party will receive a 25% off discount on tickets for Memorial Day weekend purchasable at the box office.
