We ask all of our guests to PRINT OUT THEIR TICKETS prior to arrival. This will cut down on the wait time at Will Call.


About Dark Harbor

What is Dark Harbor?

Dark Harbor is the Queen Mary’s annual Halloween haunt featuring 6 haunted mazes, a 4D theater experience, hundreds of monsters, immersive attractions, live staged entertainment, resident DJ’s, themed bars, private creepy cabanas, concession style grub along with a V.I.P. RIP lounge experience.

When is Dark Harbor?

The terror begins September 28 and runs for 23 haunted evenings through November 1. Ticket prices start at just $20 online, with additional Fast Fright, VIP, and haunting hotel packages available.

What are the hours?

7PM to 1AM Friday and Saturdays.
7PM- 12AM All other Days
8PM – Midnight September 28
Last call for alcohol is 75 minutes before close.
Maze lines may close early due to capacity. We recommend arriving early to enjoy Happy Haunting Hour at from 6pm – 7pm to avoid the lines!

Is there an age restriction?

No. There are no age restrictions to enter the event, however, We DO NOT recommend children attend Dark Harbor.
Dark Harbor can be extremely frightening and may contain inappropriate content for children.
V.I.P. RIP Lounge is restricted for guests 21+ with a valid government issued I.D. (There are no refunds for any reason, so purchase at your own risk.

I want to stay overnight are there room packages available?

Yes, we have room packages starting at $187.99 including an overnight stay in a stateroom - that includes: (2) General Admission tickets & a (1) night stay aboard the haunting Queen Mary for one low price.

Are there any hotel packages with VIP upgrade?

Upgrades are based on availability and can be purchased starting at $60 per person onsite at the Tour Center, Main Box Office, or Guest Services inside the event.

Are there ins and outs?

No, there are no ins and outs.

What happens if it rains?

Rain or shine, Dark Harbor will be open! 

Is Dark Harbor Open on Halloween?

Yes, Dark Harbor will be open on Halloween from 7PM- Midnight
This is the one day guests get to don a costume for the Costume Ball! $1000 in cash prizes will be awarded. No masks or props allowed.

CAN I WEAR A COSTUME?

No. Costumes, masks, and props are strictly prohibited. Halloween is the only exception. We welcome costumes without masks or props on Halloween night (October 31) and on Dia de los Muertos (November 1) for our annual Costume Ball & Contest.

Parking

What is the situation with parking?

Queen Mary General Parking is $30. Arrive early if you want to park onsite. The Queen Mary parking lots SELL OUT EARLY NIGHTLY. 

Offsite parking is $15 (CASH ONLY) and is available Thursday - Sunday after 8PM.  Our off site lots are just across the water in Downtown Long Beach. Shuttle service will be provided during Dark Harbor, begin departing at 8PM. The last shuttle departs Dark Harbor one hour after closing. See below for offsite parking locations: 

Allow at least 30 minutes to park and arrive to the gate.

Where can I purchase Dark Harbor Tickets?

Are the prices the same every day?

No, prices are dynamic and may be higher or lower depending on the day you attend. We encourage guests to attend during the first two weeks to avoid higher prices and longer wait times. Click here for the Dark Harbor Calendar.

What is the ticket price?

Tickets start at $20 for the Happy Haunting Hour and $24 for General Admission (online only). We recommend that guests buy their tickets online to save time and save money. Tickets are less expensive when bought online at least 24 hours in advance. What is a Happy Haunting Hour Ticket?

Happy Haunting Hour tickets start at only $20 and are in limited supply. They are only available for purchase online. Guests must enter the event before 8PM or pay the full General Admission ticket price. Happy Haunting Hour Tickets are our cheapest tickets and they pack the most punch. See the monster run nightly, and indulge in a Voodoo Brew potion during Happy Haunting Happy Hour in Voodoo Village from 6pm – 7pm nightly.

What is a Fast Fright Pass?

Fast Fright passes give you expedited, priority entry into the event and mazes, a shorter line that will save you time!  Upgrade early - limited passes available.

Does the Fast Fright pass get you into every maze?

There is a Fast Fright lane for every maze and Fast Fright passes are good for all six mazes for the duration of the night, however we cannot guarantee you will get into every maze, this depends on how much you dilly dally. But Fast Fright passes also grant you expedited entry into the event.  

What is VIP Admission?

For guests 21 and over only. Our VIP pass includes: (1) VIP entry into the event, (1) Fast Fright Pass (priority entry into the mazes) & (1) admission to RIP Lounge featuring 2 complimentary cocktails and an all-you-can-eat taco bar) perched above Dark Harbor, where you can rest in peace with a ghost-eye-view of the entire event with the occasional monster encounter. Groups and private parties? 

We have many options to enhance your experience with your group.  

  • Our private Creepy Cabanas put you front and center of your own private party. (of 10) Each private cabana features a cabana attendant serving from the bottle service and food menu that will be available at an additional cost. There is a $60 food and beverage minimum required with each cabana reservation. You can even order up a freak show a la carte.

  • Enhance your group's experience with Ah-maze-ing Tours! Choose your favorite of our Evil Eight to guide you through their terrifying maze for a little added scare and flare if you dare!

  • Order a Freak Show To Go! Have a specialty freak to entertain your group at your Creepy Cabana.

I purchased a Dark Harbor ticket for the wrong date, can I exchange it?

Tickets can be exhcanged for a different date based on availability at the Box Office only for a $5 fee (plus any applicable price difference). ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL and there are NO REFUNDS. 

Do you accept AAA Discounts for Dark Harbor?

Dark Harbor accepts a variety of promotional codes, but we do not offer AAA discounts for Dark Harbor at this time.

I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT A TICKET I PURCHASED FROM ANOTHER SITE, CAN YOU HELP?

While we are grateful for all of our ticketing partners, you will have to take it up with them. We have nothing to do with that purchase. Sorry.

Dark Harbor Mazes and Entertainment

What are the mazes ?

In 2017, Dark Harbor is pleased to unveil Feast, which takes you on a journey through the depths of The Queen Mary to learn how the newest member of our monster family, Chef, met his untimely end. Intrepid returns with a sizzling trip through time back to the ship’s origins in Scotland and beyond as The Iron Master searches for freaks and monsters to join Dark Harbor. There are a total of seven ultra long mazes including Lullaby, Soulmate, Deadrise, B340 and Circus. They will leave you screaming for more!

Queue Lines for Mazes may close up to 60 minutes prior to event closure depending on wait times so arrive early!

Are there rides?

Yes! This year Dark Harbor will feature the Neverland Ranch Swings, SideShow, and the 4-D Theatre Maze Experience - PANIC

What type of entertainment does Dark Harbor offer?

Dark Harbor features nightly live entertainment on stage and strolling throughout the event. Don’t miss our resident DJs, freak shows, fire shows and mainstage shows.

Are the sliders performing this year?

Yes, the sliders will have nightly performances along slider alley.

Food and Alcohol

Will there be food and beverages available inside Dark Harbor?

Yes, Dark Harbor features a variety of concession food and beverage options, from snacks to dinner. The RIP Lounge features an all-you-can-eat taco bar for V.I.P. ticket holders only. Dark Harbor features 2 themed bar experiences, 1 Tequila Tasting Room, 1 VIP lounge, 4 walk up bars, and 5 queue line bars. A variety of alcoholic beverages from beer to mixed drinks are served. Last call is 75 minutes prior to event close nightly.

Will there be a vegetarian option?

We will have a variety of food for sale, including some vegetarian options.

Can I bring my own food into the event?

No, we do not permit outside food or beverage inside the event.

What does Food and Beverage cost?

Food and Beverage costs vary, but we do our best to offer affordable options.

Will I be able to eat a full meal at the event?

We offer a range concession grab and go food options, but no restaurant dining options. RIP Lounge can be accessed with a VIP ticket and offers an all-you-can-eat taco bar nightly. If you prefer to have your food delivered to you, purchase a creepy cabana and order from the cabana menu.  

Do you serve alcohol at Dark Harbor?

Yes, we are one of the only Halloween haunt’s with a liquor license. We will have beer, wine, mixed drinks and signature concoctions. Bars close 1 hour prior to close nightly.

Restrictions - Prohibited Items & Costumes

What items are restricted?

The following is a list posted of prohibited items for this event: knives/weapons etc., drugs & drug paraphernalia, gang related clothing and items, disorderly conduct, wallet chains, costumes, pepper spray, coolers, chewing gum, flashlights and laser pointers, ALL pens and markers, carabiner key chains (larger than three inches), selfie sticks, and outside food & beverage.

Confiscated items will not be returned.

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

Yes, we have two wheelchair accessible mazes. Additionally the SideShow is also wheelchair accessible.

May I bring my service animal?

Yes, service animals are permitted.
