THIRD ANNUAL WEST COAST BBQ CLASSIC

Grill masters from around the country will gather at the Queen Mary’s Waterfront Events Park to compete for the title of West Coast’s BEST BBQ. Let your taste buds rage over which barbecue style is king. Prefer Memphis to Texas or savory to sweet? You be the judge at the 3rd Annual West Coast BBQ Classic.

Join us for a smokin’ hot day of grillin', fillin’ n’ chillin.'

An official California-State-Certified, KCBS-Sanctioned, BBQ Championship; WCBC will bring together Southern California's most accomplished Champion Pitmasters. They will converge at the historic Queen Mary for a one-day BBQ showdown to compete for a CASH prize and be crowned the 3rd annual West Coast BBQ Pitmaster Champion. This finger lickin' family fun festival features: delicious BBQ tastings, live music, backyard games, kids' country, a merchant market and an awards ceremony for our victors.

Whether you are a barbecue aficionado, a backyard amateur, a person who appreciates great food or just looking for something to do with the whole family, West Coast BBQ Classic will have something for everyone.

Borne from a collision of the local roots music scene and Long Beach bluegrass, Sawtooth serves up a mean slice of Americana. Bassist Ray Echlin hand-picked this motley, all-star cast to form an unbroken circle of musicians that play sounds from the heart of Texas to deepest Appalachia and everywhere in between. ROBERT JON & THE WRECK
Time: 2:45 - 4:15PM
Grab yourself a cold one and get ready to move as Orange County’s reigning “Best Live Band,” Robert Jon & the Wreck, ignite the stage at this year’s West Coast BBQ Classic.

Fully charged after their “Rhythm of the Road” 16-city tour, the Wreck’s dynamic presence and lionhearted rock-n-roll will make your mouth water as much as the BBQ fare that brought you here. For more information, visit their website.

Online registration is NOW open. Fee includes entrance into all 4 categories (Chicken, Ribs, Pork, Brisket) plus the coveted People's Choice, a reserved 20'x30' cooking space, 20 Amps of Power, access to potable water. Extra electricity available at additional cost. Spaces will be assigned as entry forms are received; however, teams participating in "People's Choice" get priority.

Teams who participate in tastings will keep $0.91 from each tasting ticket turned in at the conclusion of the Event. Any deductions such as cost of extra meat and/or permits per team will be deducted during settlement at the conclusion of the Event. Producers will cover all upfront cost. Settlement will take place in the judge’s tent at the conclusion of the event.

We mandate each team participating in ‘Tasting’ to follow the guidelines set forth by the Long Beach Department of Health’s “Temporary Food Facility Requirements.” A checklist found here. We ask that all teams review these guidelines in advance and take all necessary precautions.
